Join us for a beautiful hike at Fort Flagler State Park on Sat. July 25th
This is an easy to moderate 5-mile stroll along bluff, meadow and forest.
The views of Admiralty Inlet, Port Townsend Bay, Whidbey Island, etc., are excellent. Along the way we will have the opportunity to explore some of the fort's well-preserved structures so bring a flashlight with you - some of the semi-underground passageways are dark. Be sure to pack a lunch for a picnic at the park's beach front day use area after our hike. And there is a wonderful little country store where we stop for ice cream on the way homel
Fort Flagler State Park is about a 90-minute drive from Gig Harbor. Meet at PLC at 7:00 AM and return by 4:00 PM. The State Park requires a Discover Pass for parking and we can car pool for those who do not have one.
