What is e.giving?

At PLC, we are taking our Simply Giving program to the next level with a new name, and new and easy ways to donate. The e.giving program is still administered by Vanco Services, LLC. the same trusted company that has managed our Simply Giving program for years, and still endorsed by Thrivent Financial Services.

Why e.giving?

SURE - No worries about forgetting your envelopes or checkbook any more. If you opt for a regular scheduled donation (EFT or credit/debit), you can be sure your donation will be delivered on time and at the frequency you choose (weekly, monthly, etc.) If you opt for manual payment, you can make your donation any time, from any computer terminal.

SECURE - e.giving means no lost or stolen checks. Your offerings appear on your banking statement as "Peninsula Lutheran Contribution" giving you assurance they arrived safely. Online payers can opt to create a user profile and then make donations from anywhere - even shared computers such as at work - without needing to re-enter their credit card information.

SIMPLE - Enrollment is easy, either online through the links provided on this page, or by downloading one of the forms provided here and returning it to the church office.

STEWARDSHIP - Using e.giving demonstrates a genuine commitment to the mission and vision of PLC - week in, and week out. It is better stewardship of funds, helping PLC to save on the cost of envelopes and postage. Less paper means better stewardship of the environment as well.

What types of e.giving are there?

There are two types giving - scheduled donations and one time donations, and three methods of payment - electronic funds transfer (EFT), credit card, and debit card. Donations can be made to a variety of funds. The payment methods are described below:

EFT

Debit Card

Credit Card

Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) is also known as direct debit giving. Your donations are withdrawn from your checking or savings account at the interval you choose.

EFT is available for scheduled recurring donations or one time donations (if you use the online donation option).

You may sign up for EFT online or by filling out the form below and returning it to the office.

Debit Card giving is similar to EFT in that your donations come directly from your bank account. The difference is that you use your debit card information rather than the actual bank account information to make your donation.

You can use the debit card method of payment for both scheduled and one time donations. For one time or manual donors, you can opt to build a donor profile and have Vanco store your card information, or choose to enter it each time you donate.

Today, many people choose to use their credit cards for bill payment and other regular transactions for a variety of reasons - convenience, enhanced account protection, as a money management tool, or even to collect rewards such as air miles or cash rebates. Now, with e.giving, you can do the same with your donations to PLC.

You can use the credit card method of payment for both scheduled and one time donations. For one time or manual donors, you can opt to build a donor profile and have Vanco store your card information, or choose to enter it each time you donate.
